Dare to be DIFFERENT

Should you be different? Please answer this question before you proceed with your reading.

Most of us like to follow others. When you ask why? Most of them would answer ‘to be safe’, ‘easy’ or simply ‘why not’.

Then when you ask them again, do you want to win? ‘Yes!’ or ‘Sure!’ are the popular answers.

I would like to state here ‘you are definitely not going to be a winner by just being a follower’. Let say there are 50 contestants and you are one of them. Your chance to win is 2%. If you are the only one better and DIFFERENT, you probably would have 100% chance to win.

Why don’t try to recall history or observe successful person around you. The one that is different is the one going to win.

A good real-life example is Tony Fernandez of Air Asia who started a low cost airline. He bought a company which in debt and use internet to accept booking to cut cost and simplified operation. Other airliner operators predict he won’t survive. What make thing worst he is not from airlines industry. Can you imagine he is from a music industry?

Due to his unconventional thinking, a new business model on how to run airlines business, he has managed not just to survive but to championing the industry. Top 50 brands, most profitable company are among results Air Asia has achieved. Today Air Asia is the numero uno or biggest low cost carrier airline in Asia.
